A Night at the Opera
We are very excited to offer this amazing one-off experience featuring three of the very finest talents from the Royal Northern College of Music
Zara Wardrop:
Zara is a Scottish Soprano studying at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester under the tuition of Louise Winter. Whilst studying at the Junior Conservatoire of Scotland last year, Zara was involved with Scottish Opera, National Youth Choir of Scotland, the Royal Scottish National Orchestra Young Ambassador scheme and performed with the BBC and ITV. Although she’s moved away from home to pursue her studies in Opera, her root is always in Ayrshire and is very excited to perform back on home soil.
Emyr Lloyd Jones:
Emyr Lloyd Jones, 20 years old, is a Baritone from Caernarfon North Wales. He studies at the Royal Northern College of Music under the tuition of Matthew Best. Last year Emyr won the Folk Singing competition in the National Eisteddfod of Wales. He also sung in the chorus of a production of Sweeney Todd in the Llangollen International Eisteddfod with Bryn Terfel taking the lead role. Whilst in full time study at the RNCM, Emyr sang in the Conservatoire’s production of Handel’s Theodora in March 2017. This is Emyr’s first time visiting Scotland and is very excited to share an evening of wonderful music with you.
Lowri Probert:
Lowri is a Welsh Mezzo- Soprano currently studying Vocal Studies at the RNCM under the training of soprano, Jane Irwin. She has been performing from a young age and always had a love for music.
Lowri was a member of Welsh National Opera’s Youth Opera for 10 years which granted opportunities to study roles such as Dido from Dido and Aeneas, Dorabella from Cosi fan Tutti and the Witch from Into The Woods. In 2012, Lowri took part in the WNO Opera Gala at Buckingham Palace hosted by HRH The Prince of Wales.
Lowri feels very privileged to perform tonight and hopes you enjoy.
